My primary research interest is in trying to understand what kind of relationship mycorrhizal fungi forge between the plants that they connect (is it more like a stock market or mutual aid)? How do mycorrhizal fungal networks enable ecosystem self-organisation, and what role does ecosystem engineering play in this process?
